Who is responsible for your data

What we keep

• Your email address, arrival date and city.
• What you tell us about your tastes, budget and hotel area, and the questions you send.
• If you came from a partner link, the partner code, so the partner can be paid.
• If you try a free sample day: your email, city, date, what you enjoy and the picks we showed you.
• If you sign up for product news: your email and the date you confirmed.

We do not ask for your exact hotel address, passport or payment card. Card payments go straight to our payment provider; we never see your card number.

What we use it for

To choose and send your picks and answer your questions. If you tick "Also email me GoToday news and trip ideas", we also send you a few emails about your trip; every one has an unsubscribe link and we stop as soon as you use it. Product news goes only to people who confirmed their email, about once a month. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Who helps us

These companies process data for us, only for the purpose listed:

• Cloudflare (USA): hosting, our database, email forwarding and the bot check on forms.
• Resend (USA): sending our emails.
• Anthropic (USA): Claude chooses and writes your picks and reads your replies. Your tastes and questions are sent to it; your name and card details are not.
• Google Maps Platform (USA): finding places and journey times from the area you stay in.
• Creem (merchant of record): payments, tax and refunds, once paid passes open.
• Polygon blockchain: if you pay in USDC or USDT, the transfer (your wallet address and the amount) is public on the blockchain, as with any crypto payment. We link it to your pass only in our own records.
• Open-Meteo, Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, NYC Open Data and venue websites: we only read weather and event listings from them; we send them nothing about you.

Legal basis and your rights

We use your data to provide the plan you signed up for (contract). Trip-idea emails and product news are sent only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, and you can complain to your data protection authority. Some of the companies above are in the USA, so your data may be processed there.

How long we keep it

If you send us a screenshot, we delete it once we have read it. Pass data is deleted 30 days after your pass ends. Sample-day data is deleted 90 days after your trip date unless you buy a pass. Replies you send us are deleted after 90 days. Everything is deleted straight away if you ask.

Your choices

Reply "delete my data" to any email, or write to hello@gotoday.page, and we delete everything we hold about you.
